About The Fountain Pen Recycler

The Fountain Pen Recycler was founded in 1989 by Mike Carter, the owner of Crystal Coin & Collectibles, LLC and a collector of vintage writing equipment and ephemera for over 26 years. At the time of founding, the fountain pen collecting hobby was still relatively new, but collectors were avid and Mr. Carter realized the need for a full service sales and repair facility for the growing hobby. The first issue of the "Recycler" vintage pen list was December of 1992. It has been published continually ever since, thus making it the longest running continually published vintage writing instrument listing in the U.S. The list not only caters to vintage pens but also new pens at drastically reduced prices. There is also a nice selection of pencils, ballpoints, dip pens, ink wells and ephemera regularly listed. With the addition of this web sight, we hope to bring our love of the pen collecting hobby to many new friends and customers. We will be regularly listing selections from our vast inventory of writing collectibles on this sight.
