In 1992 Montblanc created the first Writer's Series Edition and the Ernest Hemingway was the first chosen model. Ernest Hemingway was undoubtedly one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. In works such as “For whom the bell tolls” and the “The old man and the sea”, Hemingway was remarkable for his powers of verbal expression and the denseness of his narratives. The Montblanc coral red and dark brown of the MB Writers Edition Ernest Hemingway is reminiscent of a Montblanc 139 pen from 1930s, the decade in which Hemingway first enjoyed critical success.
